Archifab composite materials fabrications by Torclad give scope for tremendous versatility in application. The examples illustrated on this page graphically demonstrate just how diversely effective Archifab solutions can be - from bridge panels to street furniture.

The pediment relief shown in the photograph below could not be more authentically traditional in appearance. But in fact it was faithfully replicated by Torclad when the original deteriorated through the effects of atmospheric pollution. The Archifab solution, which is virtually maintenance-free, and resistant to weather and chemical attack, will endure more effectively than the original.
In total contrast, the colourful panels on the 46 metre, single span railway bridge over the Gillingham Ring Road have the appearance of painted steel, but demonstrate yet another example of Archifab originality. The smooth curves create a striking visual image, in a barrier that is light, strong, extremely tough and durable.

The use of composite materials has a further benefit in that it alleviates the need to isolate different metals (such as steel from aluminium) to prevent electrolytic reaction.
Archifab fabrications can range from the unusual to the purely practical. The striking yellow towers supporting PC World's superstore sign were fabricated by Torclad.
